Every reloader should know exactly how much your Full Length Sizing Die is pushing back the shoulder. With the NEW Case Gage Depth Micrometer you can do just that!
It has never been easier to measure you cases headspace before and after sizing. The Depth Mic allows you to slip the micrometer perfectly over the top of the gage with your case inserted into the gage and take a measurement.
Graduations of .001 comes with a Gage Block. One size works for all L.E. Wilson Gages.
2 Back out micrometer top - This can unthread all the way out if needed.
3 Grab scale portion and turn clockwise and counter clockwise to loosen pressure on set screw pad. Approximately 10 - 15 twists.
4 Dial mic portion back to zero - Thread micrometer back to zero.
5 Set on top of Gage Block - make sure you have room to thread in to reach zero.
6 Turn clockwise until spindle bottoms out on top of Gage Block.
7 At this point you zero will be close.
8 Fine tune by moving scale sleeve clockwise or counterclockwise to set zero. Do not tighten set screw all the way until you are sure you have zero. If you do you may need to repeat steps outlined above.
9 Tighten set screw. That's it!
